Bringing Positivity to The Workplace

MissionCare Collective recently sat down with Julie Avalos, Director of Business Development at Comfort Keepers of Beverly Hills to discuss workforce strategy in home care. She shared how they are building a positive workplace, increasing workforce capacity from their existing team, and equipping their caregivers to provide the best care to their clients.

Here is the full transcript.

"Hi, I'm Julie at Comfort Keepers. I think CoachUp Care is a great platform. I'm really happy with it. It's fairly easy to use for most people. And I think what I appreciate the most is just the positivity that it brings to our workplace. Our caregivers are doing their very best every day to uplift the human spirit and when we get a chance to tell them how much we appreciate it. I think that makes a difference for them.

I think our team enjoys CoachUp Care as well. I think it makes things so much more personable, especially when we don't get to see our caregivers every day. And I think the impact for the caregivers is so positive because they're out there working hard and to hear someone from inside the office make a compliment or congratulate them or send them points for a job well done. I think it encourages them and we can tell that by the response we get. A few of our caregivers are on it as much as one might be on Facebook or Instagram replying and liking everything. So for us, it's a very positive experience.

Although we're still in the early stages of learning how CoachUp Care is going to help our business. We actually can tell already that it's going to be helpful to know when a caregiver needs more hours or maybe through the survey, they feel they don't have all the skills they need to be the best type of caregiver. Those are some of the things that are very clear from the beginning and we'll look forward to seeing more in the future."
