MissionCare Collective Unites with Hearts for Home Care to Advance Home-Based Care Advocacy

Hearts for Home Care (H4HC), the nation’s leading home care advocacy organization, and MissionCare Collective, a national leader in caregiver workforce innovation, today announced a strategic collaboration to strengthen advocacy efforts for home-based care. Together, the organizations will work to amplify the voices of caregivers and inject critical workforce data into legislative conversations shaping the future of care delivery in the U.S.

With a network of more than 7,500 members, Hearts for Home Care has long been a powerful voice across state capitals and Washington, D.C., driving policy change and championing access to high-quality, home-based health care. MissionCare Collective brings a unique lens to the table—operating the country’s largest caregiver network through myCNAjobs, reaching over 5 million direct care workers and home health aides, and delivering data-driven insights through its CoachUp Care platform.

“Driving advocacy and policy forward is critical to stabilizing the direct care workforce,” said Brandi Kurtyka, CEO of MissionCare Collective. “It’s essential that both the voice of the caregiver and real-time workforce labor data are at the center of these conversations. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Dave Totaro for over a decade in various industry associations and roles. I look forward to deepening that collaboration in the decade to come—ensuring not only that caregivers are supported, but that families have access to the quality care they deserve.”

Through this partnership, MissionCare Collective will provide unique insight into the challenges and motivators of the home- and community-based services (HCBS) workforce—leveraging analytics from its CoachUp Care platform to inform policy decisions grounded in data on caregiver engagement and retention.

“Workforce sustainability is one of the most urgent issues facing home-based care today,” said Dave Totaro, President and Executive Director of Hearts for Home Care. “By partnering with MissionCare Collective, we’re bringing the lived experience of caregivers and critical data into focus—making sure policy makers have both the heart and the facts to support meaningful change.”

Together, the organizations aim to amplify advocacy efforts, helping policy makers make informed, forward-thinking decisions to protect access, improve care, and support those who make home-based care possible.
